Hi there! I'm Erin Higgs. I am passionate about food and eating Paleo. I am a mama and recipe experimenter, who wants easy, flavorful, and healthy food on the table.
My mission is to motivate myself, my family, and you and your family to eat healthy, nourishing foods. It’s so easy to eat something out of a box or from the drive-thru, but I want to make honest foods with real ingredients and amazing flavors part of everyday life. Life can rush by sometimes, and I intend to find easier and faster ways to get healthy food on the table.
I am from Albuquerque, NM, but I currently live in Mesa, AZ. I am passionate about food and eating Paleo. I am a writer at heart and have a Bachelor of Arts in English/creative writing. I am creative and love having this website as an outlet for my food and writing imagination. I am married to an amazing man and I am currently a stay-at-home mom to our determined and silly two-year-old boy.
In April 2014, my husband and I decided to do the Whole30. Little did we know it would completely change our outlook on food. Doing the Whole30 was awful at first, but, without getting into the details, we were hooked on Paleo and there was no looking back to our old food habits.

Paleo is about eating whole, unprocessed foods that are rich in nutrients. My website shares Paleo recipes that include ingredients such as meats, seafood, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds, healthy fats, and spices. While I try to avoid processed foods, there are some processed foods that I use for convenience, such as canned coconut milk, canned tomatoes, etc. After all, we are in the 21st century and we are not really “Paleo.” Besides trying to keep Paleo in mind in my recipes, flavor and simplicity are a must! Plus you don’t have to be Paleo to eat Paleo. I just want to share wholesome recipes to feed your family.
